Pricing FAQ
Is Budy really free?
Yes. While Budy is in early access, the POS app and all features are 100% free. No setup fees, no per-transaction charges, no feature gates. We want dispensaries and coffee shops to focus on running their business, not worrying about software budgets.
What happens when paid plans launch?
Early-access customers lock in founder pricing that will be significantly lower than our future retail pricing. You will always have the choice to stay on a free tier if one is offered, or upgrade.
Are there any hidden costs?
No. Budy does not charge per-transaction fees, per-device fees, or per-staff fees. You only pay for your own hardware (tablets, printers, scales) from the manufacturers — we simply recommend what works best.
Do I need a credit card to sign up?
No. You can download Budy POS and start using it without entering any payment details.
Does Budy take a cut of my sales?
Never. Budy does not process payments itself and never touches your money. You keep 100% of every sale. Payment processing fees (if you use a card reader) go directly to your payment provider.
What hardware do I need to buy?
Any Android tablet or phone works. For weight-based pricing, you can add an Acaia Bluetooth scale. For thermal labels, a Niimbot printer works great. See our Supported Devices page for the full list.
